Reporter Joe Miller is sure that fisherman Eli Kirk is smuggling illegal Chinese immigrants into the country, but can't obtain enough evidence to satisfy his editor. Luck plays into his hands when he runs into Kirk's lovely daughter, Julie. But she's fiercely loyal to her dad, and he may have a hard time getting any information.

Oh My (*)
How lucky am I? How sad am I?
932 people downloaded this film before me. Why is that?
It's brilliant – honestly! I've downloaded so many films off this site over the years. This by far is the best I've watched and one of the only ones I've watched without skipping any of it. I'm assuming there is another version of this on the site and I'm actually the millionth+ person, but!
Claudette Colbert – Good (*) man – she looks just as sexy in a pair of jean's and a polo neck jumper (at about 15:30 min's in) as she does, albeit hidden, skinny dipping in the sea in her first scene but in a skirt and blouse in a bondage scene with her arms being strapped to a... Good (*). I've seen that picture of her before now I now where it is from. Ahh- (ponders) if only.
I watched it on the Cinepak version, at 60 minutes it's 15 minute shy by IMBD and wiki accounts, but well worth a watch. One of the best drama, comedy, romances I've seen for a long time. With some good action scenes, the sets of the 30's waterfront, and some great supporting characters roles.
Rating - -1 point for the missing minutes of Claudette.
I'm off to download the other versions just in case this is all a mistake.
